Day 1: Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City)
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon your arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, our local representative will arrange transfer to hotel for check-in. Free at leisure till dinner.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi
After breakfast, transfer to Cu Chi. On your way, you will pass by paddy fields. En-route you will have the opportunity to meet villagers and witness yourself how rice paper is made. The Tunnels of Cu Chi were built over a period of 25 years, which began some time in the later 1940s. The tunnel network of Cu Chi became legendary during the 1960s for its role in facilitating Viet Cong control of a large rural area only 30km to 40km from Ho Chi Minh City. The tunnel network, parts of which were several storeys deep, including innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, fileld hospitals, command centres and kitchens. Experience yourself by crawling through the network of narrow tunnels dug during the period of Vietnam War. Return to Ho Chi Minh for lunch and city tour. Proceed for shopping at Ben Thanh - the biggest market in Ho Chi Minh City, and other shopping center if time permits.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho
Continue our tour program to My Tho, a quiet capital city of Tien Giang province. It is closest city in the Mekong Delta to Ho Chi Minh City. We will have a full day trip here to catch a glimpse of the famous Mekong River. Boat trips are the highlight of a visit to My Tho. The small wooden vessels can navigate the mighty Mekong. Take a boat trip along narrow waterways overhung with dense vegetation and try exotic fruits in one of the many orchards and enjoy honey from bee hives with “Tai Tu Music” show.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi
After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, our local guide will meet and greet you at the airport of this city of lakes. Then, transfer to downtown for lunch at local restaurant before checking into hotel. Gather at the hotel lobby after a short rest and proceed for the Hanoi City Tour by ‘cyclo ~ trishaw’ bustling of 36 streets (partial streets only) for about an hour. From this cyclo tour, you will get to see some of local trades.
Day 5: Hanoi - Halong Bay
After breakfast, visit President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda that looks like a lotus flower; the mythical Sword Lake. Walk into Ngoc Son Temple and lastly drive to the Temple of Literature. Leave for Halong Bay in the afternoon. On the way, stop at Hai Phong for visit to Trang Kenh Communal House dedicated to the hero who fought against the South Han army on the Bach Dang River and Sat Market.
Day 6: Halong Bay - Hanoi
After breakfast, cruise on the local junk for 5 hours. Within the bay is dotted with more than three thousands small islets of different shapes. Visit Thien Cung and Dau Go Grottoes, beautifully decorated by thousands of stalactites and stalagmites. Enjoy seafood lunch on board. Drive back to Hanoi in the afternoon.
