Show more ## Detailed Itinerary [Expand all] ### [DAY 1: Saigon Arrival](#itinerary1) Dinner Upon your arrival at Tan Son Nhat – Sai Gon International Airport, our tour guide will be holding a welcome signboard with Paradise Travel & your name outside the baggage claim area and escort you to Saigon downtown with a brief introduction en route. Check in hotel. Notre Dame Cathedral – A symbol of Saigon The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the young and beautiful city in Vietnam. Overnight at hotel in Saigon. ### [DAY 2: Ho Chi Minh City and Cu Chi Tunnels](#itinerary2) Breakfast & Lunch Cu Chi Tunnels We’ll pick you up in the morning and take you to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a major part of the Vietnam-American War and a fascinating day trip – explore the mysterious tunnels, find hidden doors and once-deadly traps. After lunch, we will go back to Saigon and spend the afternoon either visiting the War Remnants Museum or the Presidential Palace, whichever you prefer. Then stroll around the city’s colonial streets in the evening to the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street, Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall. Overnight in Saigon. ### [DAY 3: Saigon - Ben Tre - Can Tho](#itinerary3) Breakfast & Lunch Mekong Delta 08.00 AM: our guide and driver will pick travelers up from your hotel to depart for My Tho, it takes around 1.5 hours to arrive there. On arrive in My Tho, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, then take a wooden motor boat (20 minutes) to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, travelers will be passing through natural creeks, interesting fisherman’s port; stilt houses (half on land, half on water). From there, we will take you to a bee farm where you have a chance to taste a tasteful cup of authentic honey tea. After that, we walk around quiet villages and watch the life of rural people in the Mekong Delta. You will also witness all kind of interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around while enjoying the fresh air along the canal and beautiful water coconut tree scenery. After that, we will get to a village which has many small shops that make coconut candy and handcrafted items from coconut trees of Mekong Delta. In addition, you can have a chance to learn that those people can amazingly make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees. One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a seasonable orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyments. You can enjoy the fruits for free while checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam. After that, taking a car to Can Tho. Arrive Can Tho, check in hotel and free time. ### [DAY 4: Can Tho Floating market - Flight to Phu Quoc](#itinerary4) Breakfast & Lunch After breakfast, around 6:45 am, we board a boat and travel for about 40 minutes to get to our first spectacular landscape – Cai Rang floating market. This is the largest of its type in the whole Mekong delta. During this visit, you’ll have a chance to board a merchant boat that sells pineapples which come from Can Tho City. Cai Rang Floating Market Then, we continue on our river route for 5-7 minutes and then on foot for about 5 minutes to reach a noodle and a rice paper factories. The next stop is a rice processing factory where you’ll learn the many steps that transform “rice with a brown cover” to the delicious and beautiful rice grain that we consume daily. The time now should be around 12 noon. Stop for lunch then you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Phu Quoc. Upon your arrival, met by our driver then transfer you to your hotel. We flew between major towns/cities and had a guide and driver at each destination. In total we had 5 guides and drivers and all were excellent - knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. We selected the areas we wanted to visit and saw a good range of different places and some great activities.
