Promotion campaign to attract Australian travelers

The recent rising number of Australian travelers to Vietnam as well as the promise of Australian tourism administration to encourage its people to visit Vietnam has contributed to make Australia a key market, according to the Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy to 2020, vision toward 2030.

The strategy conducted by Vietnam Administration for Tourism, in association with Vietnam Embassy in Australia and Vietnam Consul General in Sydney, is designed with a special promotion campaigns targeting Australian travelers, including a series of activities such as promotion days in Australia (which has just been held from 10 to 12 October) and other related actions on media, press and online network.

In 2011, Australia reached 7th position in the list of top ten countries with largest number of visitors to Vietnam (with 290,000 tourists). Thanks to this new step of corporation, the number is expected to significantly increase in 2012.
