Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Beijing

Upon your arrival, you will be met by your guide and driver, he will be held on  placard with your name on it. And then transfer to hotel for check-in. Relax during the rest time of the day to recover from the jet leg and prepare for your tour. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : Visiting Beijing

Your private journey will start with the magnificent Tiananmen Square. Then continue to the Forbidden City. The imperial palace complex is divided into two parts, the Inner Court and the Outer Court. The Inner Court was the living space for royal families, and the Outer Court served as a workplace for the emperor to cope with political affairs.

Temple of Heaven

After visiting the imperial palace, you will enjoy an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) at one of the best restaurants in the city. In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of Heaven.

Day 3 : Visiting Beijing

The highlight of your tour will come today as you climb the amazing Great Wall at Badaling section. The Great Wall is a priceless heritage left by the Chinese ancestry. Just when you stand on the Wall and see its grandness, you will find it is no wonder that Great Wall has the vigor to surprise the whole world.

In the afternoon, continue the sightseeing to the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. On the way back to the downtown area, while passing by the Bird’s Nest, also called the Olympic National Stadium, we will make a brief stop for you to take some pictures of the huge nest.  Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 4 : Beijing - take a train to Xian

This morning, you will first visit the Summer Palace, which is the largest and best preserved imperial garden of the country. It is a monument to classical Chinese architecture in terms of both garden design and construction. Then have a traditional Hutong rickshaw tour. In the afternoon, you will take a high-speed train to Xian. Our local guide will meet you at Xian Railway Station and take you to check in at the hotel.

Day 5 : Xian day tour

Terracotta Warriors

The whole morning will be spent to visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. You will be astonished by the life-size unearthed terracotta warriors and horses more than 2200 years ago. Over 8,000 terracotta soldiers were excavated with orderly array and grandeur. They vary in height, posture and expression.

In the afternoon, proceed to the Provincial History Museum. The museum has been a crucial window to show excellent culture of this ancient city and our nation, as well as a connecting bridge for cultural exchange with outside world. Then go to the time-honored City Wall, the top wonder of the city. After that, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 : Xian - fly to Shanghai

This morning you will visit the Xian Museum and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built for keeping the Buddhist scriptures and Buddha figures brought back from India by eminent monk Yijing during the Tang Dynasty.

Then you will have a Chinese local family visit. Not only can you visit the local people’s home, but also the hosts will invite you to have an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) at their home. The hosts will also be glad to teach you to make dumplings or to cook your favorite Chinese dish.

Afterwards, you will take a flight to Shanghai. Our local guide will greet you at the airport and take you to check in at the hotel.

Day 7 : Shanghai exploring

In the morning, our guide will escort you to see Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. As a distinguished museum of Chinese art, Shanghai Museum is also one of the four famous museums in China, holding rich and high-quality collection of ancient precious works of art. Once you enter the Yuyuan Garden, a beautiful scene delights you wherever you go; you feel that all beautiful scenes are grouped together by nature.

At noon, an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) of the true Shanghai and Cantonese cuisines at a fancy and famous local restaurant will be specially served for you today.

After lunch, you will take a Huangpu River cruise to appreciate the two representative profiles of the city along two sides of the river. Then you will explore the Bund area. Free time will be given you there so that you can take some nice photos. The last stop today is an old street, where is full of sense of culture and arts.

 

Day 8 : Shanghai - Fly to Hanoi

The capital of Vietnam, a city that celebrated 1.000 years in 2010 has countless fascinating cultural and historic sites and our days’ tour will visit the highlights.  See the grand mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh (viewed from outside; closed Mon and Fri and from Oct-Nov), the ‘icon of Hanoi’ – The One Pillar Pagoda, the beautiful Temple of Literature, West Lake’s Tran Quoc Temple as well as the fascinating Museum of Ethnology, the bustling Old Quarter, Ngoc Son Temple and The Restored Sword Lake. Taking one hour around the Old Quarter to enjoy the beauty of Hanoi Old City. Having lunch at a nice restaurant. Enjoy a water puppet show in the afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 10 : Hanoi - Halong

Halong Bay

At 08:00 AM, our driver and guide will pick up and transfer you to Halong Bay from your hotel. It will take roughly 4 hours to arrive Halong. Arrival at lunch time, check in our luxury cruise and start your wonderful time in Halong Bay. Spend whole afternoon to enjoy the magnificent scenery around you, there are thousands of limestone islands standing in the middle of sea water, all of them are covered by a thick layer of green forest which make Halong bay more and more beautiful. Have lunch, dinner and stay overnight on boat.

Day 11 : Halong bay - Hanoi - Fly to Danang

Wake up early to enjoy the fresh air of the sea, take part in some morning exercises on the sundeck with our master. Then, have breakfast and our boat lift anchor to start cruising in the bay again. Keep camera ready on your hand to take the best photos of Halong Bay in the morning. Check out and have lunch on boat. Our boat finished cruising at the harbor and time to say goodbye to Halong bay, catch our car/bus back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi at around 4 pm, our driver will transfer you to Noi Bai Airport for the flight to Danang and take you to Hoian. Overnight at hotel in Hoian.

Day 12 : Hoian exploring day

In the morning, you will get an opportunity to join in a cooking class. Your cooking class today will begin with a visit to the market, buying all the necessary ingredients and head back to prepare. Your chefs will demonstrate how to cook some typical Vietnamese food, you will then start cooking yourself and enjoy what you have cooked.

Hoi An

In the afternoon, exploring the enchanting time-capsule town of Old Hoi An on a walking tour with your guide. Hoi An was a major trading port in Asia and it resulted in a fusion of style and culture that has been perfectly preserved. Wander traditional Chinese shops, luxurious French homes, and an ancient Japanese bridge. The town is home to silk markets, Vietnamese food stalls, and talented street performers – all of which are sure to charm you. Overnight at hotel in Hoian.

Day 13 : Hoian - Danang - Hue

This morning we leave for Hue, which was historically a capital city for three dynasties. On the way we will stop to Hai Van pass – “Ocean Clouds pass”, a long and amazing pass located between Da Nang and Hue. From Hai Van pass, you can see the beautiful Lang Co beach with blue sea water and the panoramic view of Da Nang city. You can get a chance to take the beautiful pictures from this pass. In the early afternoon, we arrive at Hue. After a short break, we take a walking tour to the Royal Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda and the Mausoleum of King Tu Duc. Then we continue to visit the Imperial Museum and Dong Ba Market. Arriving Hue, our driver will drop you off at your hotel in Hue. Overnight in Hue. Lunch at a local restaurant.

 

 

Day 14 : Hue half day tour - Fly to Saigon

A half day city tour of Hue Ancient Capital will take you to some of the most interesting sites in Hue. A boat trip cruise on Perfume River brings you peace and calm down feeling. Hue is also famous for Tombs of Emperors and pagodas, a visit to there must be a worth. You’ll visit Thien Mu pagoda as well to see a famous Buddhist monk, Thich Quang Duc, who burnt himself in Ho Chi Minh City to protest against the regime of Southern Government. Lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, our guide and driver will take you to Phu Bai airport for the flight to Saigon. Upon your arrival to Saigon, our driver will pick up and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 15 : Cu Chi - Saigon city tour

We’ll pick you up in the morning and take you to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a major part of the Vietnam-American War and a fascinating day trip – explore the mysterious tunnels, find hidden doors and once-deadly traps.

War Remnants Museum

After lunch, we will go back to Saigon and spend the afternoon either visiting the War Remnants Museum or the Presidential Palace, whichever you prefer. Then stroll around the city’s colonial streets in the evening to the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street, Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall. Overnight in Saigon.

 

Day 16 : Saigon departure

You’ll have breakfast at the hotel and some morning free time, then we’ll come pick you up and take you to the airport for your flight back home there. Finish an unforgettable  trip with us.
