It should be noted that only hot boiled rice is used to make rice balls as hot rice grains can stick together. Rice ball is molded by hand; this creates the moderate sticky of rice ball. The nutty flavor of sesame mingled with the slight sweetness of rice plus the subtle scent of banana leaves is bound to deserve a try, then maybe an addiction.

 

It is also interesting to serve rice ball with stewed fish, minced pork roll and salted shredded meat. From a rustic dish only made for long journeys, rice ball has gradually drawn the interest of people, becoming a daily dish for breakfasts or light meals.
