Vietnam – Ideal Destination For Russian Tourist

According to the recent report from the Voice of Russia, Russia has jumped 14 stages to claim the 11^th position on the list of countries that have the highest number of tourists to Vietnam in first 6 months of 2012. In details, there are 87,000 Russian coming to Vietnam in the first 5 months of 2012.

According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, more than 130,550 Russian tourists arrived in the province last year, making up 36.7 percent of the total number of foreign visitors to the locality. Because the peak season of winter vacation for Russian tourists to “shelter from harsh winter” is from November onwards. At the same time, Cam Ranh airport has started to receive direct flights from Russia, the number of Russian visitors to Binh Thuan has sharply increased. Currently, Mui Ne-Binh Thuan has gradually become a “Russian village” with a lot of hotels, resorts, restaurants, spa centers, gymnastic centers jointly opened by Vietnamese and Russian investors.

Binh Thuan has many interesting things which attract Russian tourists. But the main reason is that it has nice scenery and wonderful atmosphere. It is real destination where has several high-grade resorts known as “the capital of resorts”, various delicious dishes from fresh seafood at reasonable prices. The climatic conditions here are favorable for water and extreme sports such as: windsurfing, kitesurfing, diving, etc. Moreover, Mui Ne is only 200 km from Tan Son Nhat airport (Ho Chi Minh city) and Cam Ranh airport (Khanh Hoa province). It is very convenience to combine tourism between these province.

At recent time, Bamboo village resorts are staying at the highest position on the list of hotels and resorts which attracted 60% of our total customers. Especially they are Russian tourists. They often choose this destination for long staying from 7 – 10 days and more. Several visitors have come and returned to Bamboo Village resort & Spa for 8-9 times.

In the first six months of 2012, Khanh Hoa received about 35,000 Russian tourists, and in June alone, more than 2,500 Russian tourists came to Nha Trang. The Kemerovo Airport of Russia has launched a new flight route to Cam Ranh. Last year, Khanh Hoa was visited by more than 60,000 Russian tourists.

As survey results, most of Russian tourists choose these hotels for real staying, such as Michelia, Sunrise Nha Trang resort, Yasaka hotel. In which, Yasaka Nha Trang attract about 40% tourists who come from Russia. A Russian tour operator said that Russian tourists like the weather and the sea in Nha Trang as well as tourist sites in the city such as Nha Phu Lagoon, Hon Mun Island, Hon Nhi Island and the Cham Po Nagar Towers. Russian tourists highly appreciate security and service quality in Nha Trang and they are willing to introduce it to their friends and relatives. Russian tourists are generous and this is a favorable condition for Nha Trang to increase revenue from tourism.

In the future, Vietnam will be an ideal destination not only for Russian travelers but also for all travelers in over the world.
