With check-in available from 2 PM, the afternoon unfolds at your leisure. We suggest taking a leisurely stroll hand-in-hand along Nguyen Hue Walking Street. Pause for a photo in front of the magnificent City Hall, its French colonial architecture providing a stunning backdrop. As dusk falls, celebrate your arrival with a dinner cruise on the Saigon River. Watching the city skyline glitter against the dark water creates a magical atmosphere. Elevate your night at a rooftop bar (like Chill Skybar or Saigon Saigon), sipping signature cocktails while gazing out over the vibrant city that never sleeps.

After a delicious breakfast, we will visit Notre Dame Cathedral, constructed between 1877 and 1880 by the French. We will take a few steps from the Cathedral to the nearby Central Post Office to admire its interior with the arched roof and curved windows, reminiscent of an European railway stations.

The city tour will then continue along Dong Khoi Street heading to see the Opera House and the People Committee building, built in 1897 by French architect Ferret Eugene. We will visit the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace.
After a prepared lunch, you will take a guided cycle tour for 2-3 hours to learn a deeper understanding of Saigon daily life. We will visit some local markets with several stops arranged at Ho Thi Ky flower market, a perfect place to buy a bouquet for your beloved; a medicinal plant store where you can learn together about traditional medications; Thien Hau Temple in the Chinatown, nestled in the 5th district.

After a yummy breakfast, we will leave the hotel at 8am and make our way to Ben Tre province in the Mekong delta. Upon arrival at Hung Vuong Pier (90km from Saigon), we get on a boat and cruise along the Ben Tre River. The boat will stop at a traditional brick factory for you to explore its imposing ovens. We will have a short break at a coconut candies workshop, where you will observe how coconut flesh is used and processed. A short tuk-tuk ride on the winding small road of the countryside will take you into the green villages and we will stop at a family braiding mats.

After a lunch of Mekong specialties, we will board on a rowing boat to join the maze of canals and return to the landing stage. We will then transfer to Can Tho province for the night. Take a romantic walk along the Ninh Kieu Wharf and cross the pedestrian “Love Bridge” glowing with lights. You might even charter a small private boat to listen to traditional folk music on the Hau River while enjoying the cool evening breeze.

Wake up early in the morning to head out on an excursion to the Cai Rang floating market, the largest in the region. From your boat, watch as locals trade fresh tropical fruits and vegetables on the open water. It’s a lively, colorful scene perfect for photos. After exploring the busy market, take a walk in Mr. Tu Dung’s orchard to try fresh local tropical fruits, then visit a local vermicelli workshop for a hand-on experience.

After a light lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our guide and driver and transfered to your hotel in the city centre. Immediately immerse yourselves in the capital’s charm with a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter and enjoy beautiful moments together. For a sweet evening, walk around the misty Hoan Kiem Lake and find a cozy café to share a famous Egg Coffee, a creamy, warm delight unique to Hanoi.

Today is dedicated to the cultural heart of Vietnam. We will start the day with a trip to the peaceful Tran Quoc pagoda near the West Lake then the Temple of Literature, the country’s first university, steeped in Confucian history. Discover its 82 stone steles, carried by tortoises, engraved with honored doctorates from 1442 to 1779.
In the afternoon, you visit the Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mondays, the alternative will be the History Museum). The museum offers a wide range of informative and well-documented displays of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. Its outdoor display is an impressive collection of traditional houses of various minorities from the North to the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
As twilight approaches, return to the Old Quarter for a 1.5-hour walking tour, specially designed for a deeper insight into Hanoian daily life. Visit the Ngoc Son temple which sits on a green islet in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake, connected to the lakeside by a graceful scarlet bridge named The Huc (meaning the early sunlight welcoming place).

Take free time to have a cozy diner before transfer to Hanoi train station for a classic travel experience: the night train to Lao Cai. Lulled by the rhythmic motion of the train, you will drift off to sleep as you journey towards the northern mountains.

The train arrives in Lao Cai early at 6.00 am. We will have breakfast in a local restaurant before heading to Bac Ha Market (held every Sunday) to visit the biggest local ethnic market of the region. This is a riot of color where ethnic hill tribes gather in their finest traditional costumes. It’s a fascinating place to buy unique hand-embroidered souvenirs.

After a tasty lunch, drive up the zigzag mountain roads to Sapa, passing Ban Pho 1 and Ban Pho 2 villages, inhabited by Hmong people. Upon arrival in Sapa in the late afternoon, take your freetime to enjoy the cozy evening in the town’s center. Stroll past the stone church and enjoy the cool air. We highly recommend trying a Red Dao herbal bath together, a traditional therapy that will soothe your muscles and relax your minds after the journey. End the night with some grilled local delicacies like sweet potatoes or corn by the roadside fire.

Wake up to views of the clouds rolling over the mountains. After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic hike through the Muong Hoa Valley. The trail offers panoramic views of rice terraces hidden behind morning fog. Follow a small track and cross the Muong Hoa River to visit Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, where you can discover the authentic life of local ethnic minorities like H’mong or Giay.

After a warm lunch with a local family, continue your hike through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai village, a village of the Red Dao ethnic, resting by a refreshing waterfall. Before heading to the train station, find a café with a valley view (like Fansipan Terrace) to watch the sunset over the peaks, sipping hot tea as you reflect on your mountain adventure. Free time to enjoy your diner then the car takes us to Lao Cai train station to go back to Hanoi.

Arrive in Hanoi early in the morning to witness the still-empty streets as the city slowly awakens. After checking into your hotel and having breakfast, you’ll immediately transfer to Ninh Binh, passing through rice paddies and the typical tranquil scenery of the northern Vietnamese countryside.
On arrival, take a bicycle ride and get lost on winding roads passing lotus ponds, temples, and cottages. We will stop to visit Bich Dong pagoda, which is hidden among the trees on a lush hillside. Challenge your partner to climb the 500 stone steps at Hang Mua, which literally means Dancing Cave because the kings used to come here to enjoy dancing and singing shows. The reward at the top is a breathtaking panoramic view of the Tam Coc countryside by the Ngo Dong river, a perfect spot for a romantic selfie.

In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful rowing boat trip in Tam Coc, gliding silently through limestone mountains, rice fields and hidden caves. Transfer to Hoa Lu, the former feudal capital of Vietnam at the end of the 10th century. Visit two ancient temples dedicated to emperors Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh and admire the unique architecture from ancient times. In the evening, enjoy the tranquility of the countryside at your resort, or take a quiet evening walk through the illuminated Hoa Lu Ancient Town area.

After a refreshing breakfast, we will depart for Lan Ha Bay, the pristine and less-crowded neighbor of Halong Bay. After a three-hour drive from Hanoi, you will arrive at Cat Ba, the largest island in the Gulf of Tonkin, and head to Ben Beo pier. Board a traditional boat for a cruise on the magical Lan Ha Bay. Enjoy a delicious lunch as you sail past floating villages and emerald islets.
The afternoon is filled with adventure. Around 1:30 p.m, the boat will anchor in front of the pristin Van Boi beach where you will have free time to swim in the water or sunbathe on the ship’s deck. Later in the afternoon, we will head to Hang Ca or Dau Be cave for a kayaking excursion through hidden caves and lagoons, another great way to experience the bay.

As the sun sets, head to the sundeck for “Happy Hour” and watch the sky turn shades of pink and orange. A sumptuous dinner is served on board. Afterwards, try squid fishing together or simply lie on the deck chairs, stargazing in the middle of the silent bay. At the end of the day the boat will drop anchor for the night in the middle of the bay.

Wake up early to be rewarded with a spectacular sunrise over the limestone karsts, a moment of pure peace for two. A fresh breakfast will be served on board while the boat continues to sail through the most beautiful peaks and rocks in Lan Ha Bay. At around 8:45 am, we will arrive at Viet Hai village, a small rural fishing village to cycle through and explore its gorgeous landscapes.
Return to the boat to freshen up and spend free time in your cabins, while the boat cruises back to Ben Got habour. A delicious lunch/brunch will be served around 11 am. Upon disembarkation, our driver will transfer you directly to Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi for your onward flight.
