Your city tour starts with a visit the famous Royal Palace which was built in 1866 under the French protectorate and King Norodom and the National Museum, a treasure chest of Angkorian and pre-Angkorian artifacts.
After the museum, you will scale up the steps of a small hill to see Wat Phnom Temple, the birth place of Phnom Penh. In the afternoon, visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the site is a former high school which was used as the Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the communist Khmer Rouge regime from its rise to power in 1975 to its fall in 1979. Later spend the rest of day shopping at the Central Market where you will feel a bustling daily life of local people with Cambodia’s special character through local specialties, their houses, their faces, Palaces and buildings of Khmer & Colonial style architecture. This morning, you will take your morning flight to Siem Reap. In the afternoon we further explore Angkor Wat, easily the most famous and best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. It is a massive three-tiered pyramid crowned by five lotus-like towers rising 65 meters from ground level. It is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre-first Hindu, then Buddhist-since its foundation.

Wake up early, have breakfast at the hotel and head out with our cameras for a day filled with amazing sights and experiences. You will explore the amazing temple complex and spend most of the day in what this UNESCO World Heritage site. Start at the South Gate of Angkor Thom City and make your way to the Bayon. The Bayon is made up of 54 towers decorated with more than 200 enigmatic smiling faces. Ta Prohm Temple unlike most of the other Angkor temples, Ta Prohm has been left just it was founded: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor’s most popular temples with visitors. From here, travel to the “gem” of the Angkor area, the pretty temple of BanteaySrey. The so-called “Citadel of the Women” displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kompong Kleang floating village, a settlement of over 20,000 people, mostly fisherman and traders. Floating over the canals, houses tower up to ten meters above the water, and you will constantly see waving hands of the friendly locals. Take your time and make the best of this opportunity to glimpse Cambodia’s countryside culture and family lifestyle, a contrast to the constant bartering you’ll find in the cities. Enjoy a picnic lunch in KompongKleang. From Kompong Kleang, you head out to the hidden jungle temple of Beng Mealea.
