Today is dedicated to exploring Hanoi and its history, architecture and local culture.
Start at the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university and one of the city’s best-known historical sites. Continue to Quan Thanh Temple, home to a large bronze statue of Tran Vu.
Visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to learn about the country’s diverse ethnic groups and traditional cultures.
Continue to Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where narrow streets and traditional shops reflect the commercial history of the city.
The tour also passes several landmarks from Hanoi’s French colonial period, including the Hanoi Opera House and other historic buildings.
In the afternoon, walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple. Depending on the schedule, there is also time to see St. Joseph’s Cathedral and browse the Old Quarter.

After breakfast, depart Hanoi at around 8:00 AM for Ha Long Bay.
