On arrival to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), you will be picked up and transferred to hotel for checking in and relax.
Your evening should be for amazing Nguyen Hue or Bui Vien walking street or bustling Ben Thanh night market.
Overnight in Saigon
AM: After breakfast, you are picked up and head to Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh (100KM), close to Cambodia border. On arrival we attend the fantastic mid-day temple service when the Caodaism followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.
PM: Have lunch then leave Tay Ninh for Cu Chi Tunnels. This is where guerilla warfare optimized and exemplified. Travelers will learn the clever design of the tunnels and the strategic use of trap doors. Even with B-52 bombers dropping 30-ton loads of explosive, turning the jungle into a pockmarked moonscape. You’ll have a chance to crawl around a portion of the 200 km long, multiple-layered tunnel system, learn how thousands of guerillas managed to stay underground many days at a time, also their great technique to conceal smoke from their cooking. There are a lot more to enjoy, even a chance to fire real AK bullets…
We later return to HCMC for overnight
From Saigon we have 2 options to beach town by car, it is Vung Tau Beach (120KM – 2 hours driving) or Mui Ne Beach (250KM – 4 hours driving)
