Mien Tay boat is built with inspirations from the local traditional sampans that have navigated on the Mekong for hundreds of years. The boat is made of ‘’Sao’’ wood, a variety of oak well appreciated by people who spend all their life working and living on the river.
Designed for a pleasant long cruise, the boat offers 1 well ventilated compartment which could be used as a dining room as well as bedroom with couchettes available for groups of 2 to 16 persons maximum. In addition, there is one kitchen, three restrooms with showers and terrace on deck for the very best view of Mekong River and the delta. For your safety and comfort, we are operating a strict non-smoking policy indoors. Smoking is allowed in outside areas only, eg the Sundeck
Safety instruction signs are available in all cabins and public areas. Life jackets are kept in your wardrobe and also in main public areas. In case of emergency, each passenger is requested to proceed at once to the muster stations indicated with signs and await instructions.
Mien Tay boats are equipped with 220 volts, with European and American standard sockets. Other types of electrical adaptors are available upon request.
Bottled water is provided on board daily. The boats also bring along enough clean fresh water the entire trip.

DAY 1 : Saigon - Cai Be - Sa Dec

07h30: Pick up at hotel in Saigon then route for Cai Be (120km).
10h00: Arrive Cai Be, small motor boat trip to explore the lively Cai Be floating market in the morning.

Walking for visit a handicraft village of the local people then sightseeing the old house and sample various tropical fruits.
Continue boat trip to Mekong Lodge – an Eco-resort Mekong Lodge includes 29 private pretty bungalows and River View Restaurant, stretched in an area of more than 10.000 m2 lays just beside the Tien River.
Visit Mekong Lodge and walking around this area to see local people who are doing daily activities and preparing lunch for their families.

After lunch, cruise depart from Cai Be to Sa Dec via My Thuan, a nice and quiet town overlooking Mekong river. Up to river side, stop en route to visit brickyard handicraft villages along the Mekong River.

DAY 2 : Sa Dec - Saigon
Early wake up to enjoy sunrise on the river. Breakfast on board, then a small boat will take you to explore Long Xuyen.

Floating markets are a feast for colors, smells and tastes, and they gather together countryside people for sharing goods and news from families living often in remote places: an authentic Vietnamese culture experience .
Bike ride on the footpaths of the countryside of Islet Ong Ho to discover tropical fruit orchards and local people’s activities.
Mekong Delta’s countryside is a network of small tracks linking small villages and remote farms and houses together, which go through lush vegetation and cross small bridges. Nearly everywhere is an opportunity to stop for an enthusiastic welcome by local people and kids, a picture of the nature Return to HCMC or to another destination.
