2013 Hoa Lu ancient capital festival to openThe 2013 Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Festival will be held in the historical temples of the kings of the Dinh and Le dynasties in Truong Yen commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province from April 17 to 19. 

According to Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee Vu Van Huan, this year’s festival will be organised at the district level. A series of cultural and sports events, including a thurible procession, a water processing ritual, a requiem and a night festival of flowers and coloured lanterns, as well as various sports and folk games, is expected to attract thousands of tourists and local residents. Additionally, a photo exhibition named ‘Ninh Binh Impression’ feature images of Ninh Binh’s landscapes, culture and tourism potential. This year’s festival is considered as one of key activities of the National Tourism Year – Red River Delta 2013.
